In centuries past, Shoal Bay was known as Oneoneroa, paying homage to the many beaches peppering its shores. In those days it was prized for its position along the city’s original main highway - the sparkling harbour.
In the mid-20th century, the land encircling the bay became home to the New Zealand Navy. Now, for the first time in more than 50 years, you can own your piece of a new community coming to life in this prime harbourside location on Auckland's beautiful North Shore.
Nestled in Belmont, Oneoneroa is the first block under development on the North Shore by Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei Properties. With the sea and city nearby, Oneoneroa has been carefully planned for people in modern day Auckland to live.
Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei Properties is committed to building sustainable communities and thriving environments. We want to encourage environmentally conscious living and travel so we are gifting all new homeowners in the initial stages of Oneoneroa an electric bike.
Oneoneroa lies in the heart of Belmont.
